They are purposeful, clear, and well-paced plans including aligned teaching.  A unit plan, related to the curriculum plan, is what a teacher plans for a content area to achieve the learning goals, assessments and instruction in an aligned way over a number of weeks. However, we have not delved into the history of Dance Education in the US. Dance education gives students a broad understanding of dance and expressive movement as an art form. It could also train students professionally in specific dance genres. In addition, dance education encompasses a research area in which scholars conduct original research on ways of teaching and learning dance.
